He was one of 15 Ohioans who helped found the American Legion in Paris

His brother, Hamilton Lehr was elected Judge on the
6th Ohio District Court of Appeals


Lowell was the star
quarterback on
Antioch College's only
winning football team.

He was Mayor of
Yellow Springs, Ohio 1940-45
